Webinar series on climate technologies and Green Recovery
The Covid19-lockdowns across the world are leading to a global reduction in climate-wrecking Greenhouse Gas emissions. Nevertheless, further efforts from the international community are presumably required to turn these short-term gains into a long-term strategy through which the climate targets defined under the Paris Agreement can be achieved. The deployment of climate technologies bears the potential to counteract the current economic recession as well as to support countries in achieving their climate commitments. But which international mechanisms and actions are required to accelerate technology transfer and which role can the private sector play in all of this?
NDE Germany is inviting international experts to discuss these topics in a four-week webinar series entitled: „Fostering green recovery through climate technologies: How the private sector and market mechanisms can accelerate technology transfer“. The four online sessions, organised on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), will take place from May 27 until June 17every Wednesday at 3pm (CEST). The discussion will be held in English and participation is free of charge. Follow this link for further information about the individual sessions and speakers.
