NDE Germany at COP 23 climate conference
The NDE Germany will present its activities at COP 23.
On Saturday, 11 November (10:00-11:30 a.m.) the NDE Germany will host a side event on “Understanding Technology Needs in the context of the Paris Agreement” at the German Pavilion (Bonn Zone). This side event will critically discuss the potential of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the Technology Mechanism.
On Friday, 10. November, and Monday, 13. November, the German Chemical Industry Association VCI and NDE Germany invite interested COP participants to visit CHEMPARK Leverkusen. The companies Covestro, Lanxess and Wacker will present current projects addressing carbon capture and utilisation (CCU), water treatment and renewable energies. The visit tour will allow for bilateral discussions with technology providers and experts about necessary framework conditions for technology transfer.
The NDE Germany will participate in the COP 23 exhibition in Bonn from 12 to 17 November. This will be an opportunity to present the NDE’s activities and services and to bring together network partners and potential cooperation partners from developing countries. The exhibit will also be a place for interested conference visitors to meet NDE Germany representatives.
On Wednesday, 15 November, a Matchmaking Dinner will again bring together suppliers and consumers of climate technology and offer opportunities for bilateral discussions on “Understanding Technology Needs”. Discussions during the dinner will focus on the questions to what extent technological solutions from industrialised countries meet the demand of developing countries and emerging economies.
